Grades 1 - 8
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -- William Butler Yeats
Like the blending of colors, each class at the Minnesota Waldorf School is unique. Children and teacher come together as individuals to form a special group that will support social and academic learning over the next eight years. Using methods specific to Waldorf schools, class teachers assist children in awakening their innate passion for learning, while supporting their natural reverence for the world around them.
As they move on to high school and college, our interviews with alumni confirm that they are well prepared, both academically and socially, to meet the challenges ahead with courage and compassion. Students find themselves able to grasp underlying concepts rather than simply solving problems using formulas or theories.

"I attribute my success in academic endeavors to the strength of integrity and the critical thinking skills that I developed at the Minnesota Waldorf School. Every day, I am thankful for the unique and beautiful childhood I experienced there." -- Alumna, class of 1998
